How to calculate CPM

CPM = cost ÷ impressions × 1000 — the price of a thousand impressions.

Cost = CPM × impressions ÷ 1000; impressions = cost ÷ CPM × 1000.

With clicks: CTR = clicks ÷ impressions, CPC = cost ÷ clicks. With subscribers: cost per subscriber = cost ÷ subscribers.

What a calculation can show
A big channel is not always cheaper
A post for 1,000 at 50,000 views is CPM 20; a post for 300 at 30,000 views is CPM 10 — the smaller one is half the price per view.

What is CPM?
Cost per mille — what you pay for a thousand ad impressions. It lets you compare placements of different sizes on one scale.
What is the CPM formula?
CPM = cost ÷ impressions × 1000. Spend 500 on 100,000 impressions and your CPM is 5.
How do I count CPM for a Telegram post?
Use the post’s views as impressions — usually after 24 or 48 hours, as agreed with the channel — and the price you paid as the cost.
What’s the difference between CPM, CPC and CPA?
CPM is the price of 1,000 impressions, CPC the price of one click, CPA the price of one target action (a sign-up, a purchase, a subscriber).
Do you show average CPM prices?
