ROI Calculator

Work out the profit and ROI of an ad campaign from revenue and cost — and the revenue you need for a target ROI. Free, no sign-up.

How to calculate ROI

  1. 1

    Profit = revenue − cost.

  2. 2

    ROI = profit ÷ cost × 100 %. A negative ROI is a loss.

  3. 3

    Revenue for a target ROI = cost × (1 + target ROI ÷ 100).

What a calculation can show

A campaign in the red

Revenue below cost gives a negative ROI — the number shows how deep the loss is.

The revenue you need

Enter a target ROI and see what revenue the same spend has to bring.

Two sources, one winner

The source with the smaller profit can still have the higher ROI — and scale better.

FAQ

What is ROI?

Return on investment — profit as a share of what you spent. An ROI of 50 % means every dollar spent brought back one and a half.

How is ROI different from ROMI?

ROMI counts only marketing spend. Put just your ad costs into «Cost» and the calculator shows ROMI.

What ROI is good?

It depends on the niche and the model — we don’t publish «market norms». Compare your own campaigns on one scale.

Does it include taxes and fees?

No — only what you enter. Add fees and taxes to the cost to see the net return.
